White House head Donald Trump said he would not want to block social network TikTok, and is confident that a deal to sell the platform will be done.
Trump noted that there are many potential buyers, the interest in TikTok is huge.
The US President added that the American administration is in contact with the PRC on the issue. According to Trump, he would like TikTok to stay alive.
Trump, after returning to the Oval Office, signed an executive order designed to delay the blocking of the social network in the US for 75 days (until April 5). He said the states should be entitled to 50% of TikTok, but did not clarify what that meant.
A spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in Washington, Liu Pengyu compared the situation around the possible ban of TikTok in America to robbery.
Earlier, Trump called the condition for easing duties on Chinese goods.
