The management of the Baltiysky Zavod in St. Petersburg fears bankruptcy

This was stated by the general director of the enterprise in the financial report for 2024. The accumulated losses exceed the plant's annual revenue by more than 1 billion rubles. The plant did not receive any subsidies from the federal budget in 2024.

The managers of Baltiysky Zavod, which is part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC), said that the company is facing bankruptcy due to heavy losses. Although in 2024 its revenue increased by 50% and reached a record 31.4 billion rubles.

But, according to the RBC portal, losses of 32.2 billion rubles were accumulated as of the beginning of 2025. The ready report of Baltiysky Zavod, signed by CEO Alexander Konovalov, says that the systemic problems that currently exist in Russia's shipbuilding industry could lead to bankruptcy.

Earlier it was reported that sales of vodka, wine and other alcohol have significantly decreased in St. Petersburg.

In March, about 95 thousand vacancies remained unopened in St. Petersburg.
