Permanent Representative Ulyanov commented on the idea of the European Union to achieve peace by force

Russian Permanent Representative to International Organizations in Vienna Mikhail Ulyanov has reacted to statements by European leaders on the “peace through strength” approach to the conflict in Ukraine. He compared their rhetoric to a Soviet joke.

According to Ulyanov, such statements and threats of risky actions by European leaders are perplexing. They talk about peace through force, make bellicose statements and threaten to do risky things. This reminds us of a joke from the Soviet times: there will be such a struggle for peace that no stone will be left unturned.
