According to the investigation materials, the teenager, whose name is being withheld in the interests of the investigation, in February joined the Russian Volunteer Corps* (RDK), an organization recognized as a terrorist organization in Russia. After taking the oath of office, he was given an assignment to videotape one of the transportation infrastructure facilities located in the Petushinsky district of the Vladimir region.
The young Muscovite was paid a cash reward of 9,000 rubles for this assignment, which is believed to have been part of the preparation of a larger sabotage operation. He was detained during another shooting, when, according to the investigation, he was gathering information for future sabotage.
According to the press service of the FSSB in the Vladimir region, the detainee admitted his involvement in unlawful activities and stated his intention to begin preparations to commit sabotage, which was, in fact, a pure-hearted confession and a serious aggravating circumstance. The suspect is currently in custody and an investigation is underway.
Against the background of alarming news about teenage extremism from the Vladimir region, coins stolen from a French museum were found in Moscow, and an arsonist of a substation was detained in Altai, which creates a general picture of growing crime and tension in society.
